One more post before we go...

That's my friend Kileigh. We've known each other for probably 6-7 years. I used to work with her in ND. She is moving this weekend from Columbia, SC to Indianapolis. She's in the Army Guards and will be taking off Wednesday for Afghanistan for 6 weeks. I'm so glad we got to spend some time together.
We carved pumpkins with her, Tim and Heidi. Heidi and Kileigh bought "pie pumpkins" so they were exceptionally hard to carve. Kileigh attempted, Heidi did not. She was on picture patrol. :) After pumpkins, we played a hilarious game of charades. It was a good night!

And of course Steve does it too, they didn't really eat it, just trying to look like tough guys

6 months old!

Our little "Copper Top" as Nanny calls her

I CAN NOT believe that Audrey was born today, 6 months ago! It really blows my mind. People told me all the time when she was tiny to savor those moments because "they grow so fast". That couldn't be more true. I am so blessed to be a mom to such an amazing, cheerful, smiley, sweet little bundle of joy! She makes me want to have ten! :)
To commemorate 6 months but just a day early, Audrey finally rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time yesterday! She's been sleeping on her side for months now, she just wanted to wait until she was ready I guess. I began getting anxious, wondering if she was developing correctly. As I'm slowly learning, all babies develop in different areas at different speeds. But now that she's rolling, I don't think there's anything that's going to hold her back! After she rolled a few times, after laughing and then crying realizing my little girl is getting so big (yes I'm a cry baby) I got a little rolling action on video, view below.
On this coming Tuesday, Audrey and I are flying to North Dakota to visit my family for 10 days. It's the longest Steve and I have ever been apart. Please pray for safe travels, for Audrey to do well traveling, getting enough rest and protection from sicknesses. I know our time will be special! See you all when we return!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday afternoon we went to Hodges Dairy Farm. It was sunny but boy was it windy and cold! Audrey's little nose turned bright red right away but she seemed to be enjoying all the new things to look at. She especially enjoyed her sunglasses :) We only stayed about 15 minutes, just enough time to walk a bit and take some pictures. We ended up not getting a pumpkin either because they were pretty spendy. We plan on getting some at the grocery store soon so we can carve them!

Pumpkins, shmumpkins, I like my shades!

I'm gonna get that flower!
Almost...
Got it!

Our trip to California

Our trip to California was awesome! It was such a blessing to us! Steve's dad and his wife flew us out there for an entire week! Without their help, we probably would never have made it out there. We thought it was pretty crazy that Audrey has made it from coast to coast in less than 6 months and it took Steve and me over 27 years! She's quite the traveler!
On vacations, the time seems to go by quickly but our time in California went by slowly which is surprising since our days were so packed with stuff to do! The first day we were there, we drove around downtown LA. It was gorgeous! Palm trees everywhere, beautiful mountains surrounding the city. What wasn't beautiful was the traffic, YIKES! We drove through Beverly Hills and actually had to change a poopy diaper on the trunk of the car. Can we say REDNECKS? On Saturday, we went to Universal Studios, which was a blast! It was the only day that was overcast and chilly which made for shorter lines! We first took a tram that toured the whole park. We saw lots of movie sets which was really cool. We drove through the neighborhood where Desperate Housewives is filmed even though we've never seen that show it was neat to see. We saw lots of special affects as well. The rest of the week was filled by going to a couple shopping centers, Santa Monica beach and pier, Malibu beach and spending time in the pool/hot tub at the condo.
Audrey did amazingly well, especially with the 3 hour time difference. She usually only had one nap a day and was exhausted by 5PM, which is 8 our time. She barely fussed while we were out, she even took a 2 hour nap in her stroller at Universal Studios! That's my girl!
We really had the best time! We have so many wonderful memories from the trip that we'll cherish!

This was taken the 1st morning there, Audrey woke at 4:30AM so I was able to catch the sun rise from the back patio

Frank surprised us when getting off the elevator. Steve wanted to get a picture of us together but Frank started stepping off the elevator. We walked together for a couple minutes which seemed like a long time with a giant strange man. When I turned to get away, he leaned over to hug me and I took off! He grunted and moved to his next victim.

Steve and I went to a 4-D Shrek movie, it was awesome!

See the resemblance?

We found this Rugrats doll that looked just like Audrey. We had to buy him! His name is Todd McNulty. He's her new best friend. (Or long lost twin)
